here’s a story by nicole: lena and toni in the land of dreams. it is monday morning and asevery day i have to go to school. my name is lena bauer andi’m 13 years old. my life could be perfect. a year ago i met the boy of my life. his name is toni andis a medium-sized gelding. but there are always thedownsides of life. my parents are not the easiest.

they argue a lot and start arguingwith me because of any reason. and now they want to sell toni because they need the moneyand can’t pay the vet, toni has got many problems. they want to sell him, everythingi’ve done within a year. a potential buyer will come after schooland have a look on toni, for his daughter. “lena, stop dreaming. stand up immediately.”my father shouted from downstairs. i stood up and went to the bathroom. i brushed my teeth, put on a pinkjumper and a black jeans.

i can’t be bothered to go downstairs. i couldbet that my parents will bite my head off. without a reason. i gathered courage and went downstairs. “yesterday you forgot to turn off the lights in thebathroom” my mum said and gave me the evil eye. i just sat down and put abread roll on my plate but i didn’t want to argueso early in the morning. so i stood up again, put on my jacket, tookmy school bag and left the house. normal parents would call their child back but it wouldn’t interest my parents ifi would disappear either.

i had this thought when i left the house. as i arrived at the bus stop after 10 minutes the reason came to my mindwhy i usually took the second bus. because klara, that silly cow, is standingthere with her clique and they take the first bus. “look, who fell out of their bed?shockheaded lena” she said with a laugh. it was enough for me. “let me alone!” i yelled and ran away. only away from there. i run towardsthe stable, the only place i could be for myself. “toni, how are you doing?” i saidand hugged the magnificent head of my horse.

he greeted me through loudsnorting of his nostrils. we enjoyed the silence ã  deux. “we’ll be always united.we against the rest of the world” i whispered in hisfluffy, long ear. suddenly i heard a voicebehind me. it was the elder farmer, mrs marmela. “lena, what are you doing here?haven’t you got school?” “umm, i … i …. i … right, the schoolstarts later” i answered her hectically. “well, then your bus has just left.

the party is over! what are you doing here?” i exhaled sadly and told her everything. “well, … as you know my parentsand me are often in an argue and now they want to sell toni becausethey can’t pay the vet’s fees. no vet could make a diagnosisand nobody knows what toni has. and a potential buyer is comingtoday who will presumable buy him. but when he comeswe are gone already” i answered her. “wha… what do you mean?” asked mrs marmela. “but promise me that youwon’t tell it anybody.

i want away from here, i want to start somethingnew with him.” i answered mrs marmela. “as the saying goes: ‘don’t let the door hit youon the way out’. you should rethink your decision.” “i did” i said immediately andinterrupted her. “now i’m telling you somethingthat you don’t tell anybody. i know somebody who can heal toni.” “please go on.” i said. “my old friend helga who lives inthe north, about 200 km from here, she can help him. i’m sure. only it isa long journey, a very long journey. if you want to arrive before twilighti advise you to go now.

always northwards” meant mrs marmelaand gave me her old compass. i followed her advice. i made toni ready, saddle, snaffle and mount. mrs marmela put the most importantthings into one bag and gave it to me. “good luck. and give her my regards”she said at the end before i left her farm. i rode only northwards. i didn’t care about the obstacles. i rode over fields, crossed busy streets, and even the one or other pavement.

because toni was very calmi could go with him through the town. i just wanted to follow mrs marmela’s advice, always northwards. but then one point came where i couldn’t gofurther north. the gigantic north sea appeared. “hello! is helga here? mrs marmela sends me.”i yelled multiple times until a path in the middle of the sea occurredon which i could go safely. i dismounted and lead toniover the path in the sea. toni was a bit anxious. i thinkhe felt uneasy about it. “everything will be fine, toni.when we arrive, everything will be good. we against the rest of the world.”i whispered quietly to him.

well, i felt uneasy about it as well. and then there was it.a big, green island. at first sight you could see onlygreen trees and the beach in front of it. because i was so astonished i didn’trecognise two little girls standing in front of us. they laughed. one took toni, the other took my hand and they lead me and toniin this thick, growing, green forest. “hello. i am lena and this is toni. i was send by mrs marmela. she thinksthat you can heal him.” i said to the woman the twogirls brought us to.

the woman had beautiful, white hairand a long dress full of flowers. “ye shall be greeted. my name is helga.what has your toni for problems?” helga answered me. “well, toni acts odd. it seems to me he’s sad.he isn’t that jolly as before.” “what do you mean with ‘as before’?has he got an injury?” helga asks. “no, not really. his best matedied nine months ago. they were always together on the paddockand screwed things up together. - sorry for that expressionbut that’s what she wrote. “well, it is because he misses him. i have thebest therapy in my backyard. follow me.” she said and walked away in front of me.i took toni and followed her.

suddenly she stops. we were standingon a mountain. a herd of unicorns were standing on the hillside, out to grass. “take everything from himand let him run.” meant helga. at first i hesitated a bit because i thoughthe would run away and never come back. but he ran only to the herd.the boss of the herd accepted toni very fast because toni was calm andsaw that it helped him when he doesn’t do any riots. toni was recognisable because he wasthe black dot under snow-white unicorns. “do you see the horse, next to toni.that’s lone, the boss and accepted toni

and apparently likes him very much.” she saidas i picked up my saddle and snaffle. “lena, if you want you canstay here. you would fit perfectly in here. and toni won’t go anywhere.here’s the place you can work with him. there’s just one rule. and this is:no saddles, neither snaffles. the horses should have the feeling to be free andshouldn’t lose it because of their rider” helga meant. at the first momenti was burst with joy and shocked because i won’t getbullied and nobody’s going to miss me. so i agreed and we togetherdisposed toni’s gear. toni and me found our place

where we are united foreverand that was the most important thing. well, that was the storyof lena and her horse toni. lena’s life wasn’t always easyand her horse toni was her one and only. and now they found their place in life. and they all lived happily ever after. so, that was the first story. printed, wonderful. i could readthis very good with my old eyes. it was a good story. and now a poem by samuel.

nobody is perceiving me. i’m walking through the town, streets are crowded, so many people here, but i’m all by myself. i’m walking through the town, now it starts raining, grey umbrellas passing by,nobody’s noticing my tears. i’m walking through the town,i can’t see the path anymore, people jostle me awayand they put the blame on me. i’m walking through the town,so many unknown people, why am i aloneeven though i’m not?

i’m walking through the town, arrive at a bridge, stay there,a river is below it. i’m standing on the bridge, climb over the handrail, crowds of people passing by,but nobody wants to see me. i’m standing on the bridge, look down, if i am lonelywhen i finally jump? i’m standing on the bridge, should i really do it? crowds passing by,i doubt about myself. i’m standing on the bridge,i become discouraged,

i often heard‘you shouldn’t be afraid’. i’m standing on the bridge,a quick look back, i see the grey umbrellaswhich don’t want to see me. i’m standing on the bridge,i eager to you, the only person,i’m not alone with. i’m standing on the bridge, even you didn’t see me, i can’t do this any longer,i jumped. i’m falling from the bridge, the end is so near, never be so lonelyand never be so close to you.

i got goose pimpleseven now after i read it again. i was really touched andwrote him a letter as fast as possible. a shiver ran through me. but i wrote himand he answered. and now a story by laura.even the caption is funny. redpunzel. once upon a time therewas a girl called redpunzel. she had very long, blond hair, which had a special power. redpunzel always wore a red capand lived in an incredible high tower

which was almost inaccessible. one day she went in the forest to gather mushroomsand berries for her grandmother, the marmeladenoma. as she walked carelessly through the forestshe suddenly heard a loud rustling. she followed the noise and a big, frightening, black, dangerous wolfjumped abruptly out of the bushes. redpunzel was horrifiedas she saw the big, evil wolf. that creature trampedtowards redpunzel. she ran as fast as she couldback to the tower. after a while she lostthe wolf and arrived at the tower

where marmeladenoma was and waited. she asked with concern“what happened, sweetie?” redpunzel answered exhausted “i was gatheringberries and mushrooms before an evil wolf hunted me. but it looked somehow afraid.” her grandmother said then “let’s go in firstand tell me everything calmly.” the next day marmeladenoma had a great idea which was to go into the forestand search the wolf to help him. so they did and found the wolf which lied in his cave and was fast asleep.

redpunzel’s grandma whispered“now it is your turn. take your long hair, lay it on the wolfand sing your bewitching song.” redpunzel did that and suddenlythere were many stars which sparkled so that the cave was well-lit. after the spell ended,a wise, friendly wolf left with redpunzel the cave. they went all together back to the towerand built a cosy, little shack for the wolf. every evening, for many years, marmeladenoma read fairy tales to them. that was an incredibleinteresting story.

i think you’re made for writing. you have a great phantasy. well, that were the three stories. next time i’m reading again. you well receive the prizes per post. that was the announcement of the winners. i say goodbye for today. your marmeladenoma and grandson janik.
