(upbeat music) ♫ l-o-v-e ♫ l-o-v-e ♫ - hey guys, it's brooklyn and bailey and a special holiday is coming right up for all of those specialpeople in your life. it's valentine's day. i don't think i'm gonna have a valentine.- me either. - which is really sad.
shed a tear, just moment of silence.- we can be each other's valentine. - yeah, we'll be. that's the winner. so today we're gonna show you guys how to do some really cutediy valentine's decor stuff. but first, don't forget thatbrooklyn and i also have a second channel called squared. so make sure to check that out. we'll put the link to it inthe description box below.
- and be sure to subscribewhile you're there. - mmhmm. now, let's go onto the video. first, i'm gonna show you how to make this adorable sequin heart box. you will need a papier-mache box, sequin pins, red sequins, a paintbrush, a thimble, and red metallic paint. and i found all of this at hobby lobby,
or you can find it atyour local craft store. and now for the first step. i took my lid off my box and i started painting itwith the red metallic paint. nothing like a little funpizazz of valentine's color. and now i'm gonna paint the bottom half of my box as well. as you can see, i've finished it. and not it's time to add the sparkle.
so the first thing you'regonna do is take your sequins and lay them out in a formation. and then push your pins in to make sure they staywhere you want them to be. and there you have it. your wonderful, sparkly, red, heart box for valentine's day. coming right up, we'vegot our 3d heart wall. for this you'll need that print out, which the link to that will bein the description box below,
some mounting tabs, aglue gun, and scissors. this diy is pretty simple, especially the first step, which is just to cut out theheart from the print out, and then cut a little slitin the middle as well. the next step you'll want to do is fold the inner corners. just literally fold them, just those little pieces. and then push themtogether and hot glue them, so that it pops out like a 3d heart.
after that's finished drying, go ahead and place the mounting tabs on the back of your heart. and then stick it to yourwall wherever you want to, in whatever design. be creative and have some fun. i love decorating my room with hearts, especially around thevalentine's day season. so i'm gonna show you how to make
this adorable heart garland. you will need three different types of valentine's day paper,a two inch heart punch out, also you'll want sometape, and a hot glue gun, and some string or twine. as you could have guessed, our first step is going to be punching out some hearts from our paper. so i'm gonna go ahead and do that
and as you can see, mypaper is sparkly, of course. now that you have yourtwo hearts punched out, go ahead and put a line ofglue on the back of one of them so the color is facing down. and then put the string on the glue. and then go ahead and do the same thing on the other side, withthe color facing up. so when you flip it around, all you see are the twocolors on both sides.
if you're looking for an easydiy craft for valentine's day, this one is perfect. all you need is a paperslicer, some red card stock, and a stapler. slide in your red cardstock, landscape style. and slice off sections of the paper an inch wide, until theentire paper is gone. then you take four ofyour pieces of paper, staple them together at the bottom,
take the two outer pieces, fold them over into a heart shape and staple the bottom again. be careful not to bendthe loops of the heart, otherwise your heartshape will not be perfect. to continue your chain, justtake two more pieces of paper, put them on the outside of your heart, staple the bottom again, fold them over and staplethe bottom of that heart.
and there you have yourbeautiful wall heart chain. for the next valentine decor idea, you need a bouquet ofroses, some valentine m&m's, a big jar, and a smaller flower vase. now, take your big jar and pour your valentine m&m's into it. it may take two or threebags to fill the whole thing. after filling your smallflower vase with water, you can just push it down into the m&m's
and place it at thevery bottom of the jar. then you take your roses, place them into your flower vase, and viola, you're done. - be sure to give thisvideo a huge thumbs up and let's see if we can'tget it to 60,000 likes. - also don't forget to check out squared. once again, the link will bein the description box below. and subscribe while you're there.
