we have already positioned various archicadelements, e.g. windows and doors. here, we would now like to look at how weposition any library object. in archicad, we have selected the "objects"tool. in the object settings, we enter the properties for the first object we want to position,a bathtub. in the bimmtools, the construction method "measure and place object with 3 points" isalready enabled. the layout created as default is displayedin pointcab. we enable "panoramas" and click on the panoramain which we can see our bathroom.

we use the mouse wheel to zoom in and pressthe mouse wheel to move the view. we link pointcab and archicadby enabling "4cad" and "measure 3d points". for the construction, we now click on thethree corner nodes. our object is placed in archicad at the presetheight. we now have the section displayed in 3d andwe're done. before starting with our radiator, we setthe properties once again. this time, however, we want to measure inother parameters. namely the upper surface first. the help window indicates that we are ableto measure in the corresponding point.

in pointcab, the appropriate panorama viewhas already been selected. then we click on the point for the upper boundary. then the lower boundary ... we use the construction method, as always, to complete measuring in. in this case, once again using "measure andplace object with 3 points". and finished. without comprehensive preparation, we canmeasure in any archicad object quickly and with absolute precision. with the same efficiency and precision, weare also able to create our building structure

consisting of walls, ceilings, and a roof and all other archicad elements from the laser scanner point cloud. the bimmtools add-on for archicad enablesus to achieve this.
