if there is one thing i really hate, then it's, youtubers all being put in the same box. you wouldn't put every musician in the same box either. cause all of them are different in their own way. and the same goes for youtubers. what kind of weird introduction did i just do? i don't know. whatever. intro damn, you don't have an intro.

damn it. ah! hm... "intro" it's all a matter of... oh shut the fuck up! chapter 1: how does a julien bam video come to life? imagine you had to make a short movie... and you'd have to come up with the perfect idea on the spot

which had to match with not only your own, but your whole audiences standars aswell with an exciting script, different actors, diverse locations, music and sound and fancy tracking shots. imagine you'd have to organize everything on your own so that the whole thing works at all! imagine you'd have to chose only the best scenes

and edit them into one video. imagine, just how many people would have the highest of expectations and just imagine you'd only have 4 days maximum welcome to julien bam! alright, we ain't shooting a short movie, but still welcome to julien bam! yeah! intro! ah, i still don't have one... it all starts for us on monday.we met early in the morning, just to find that one perfect idea, which is not only a fun thing for us, but something that you can enjoy aswell. just working on finishing our idea,

can take us anywhere from 10 to 20 hours and if we're doing a video with song lyrics for example, we're still writing on it even shortly before the shooting starts the diagram is rising luckily we don't make songs that often okay, we actually do that a lot i want to leave but i can't ... many concepts are tossed aside others get prepared for another time

until... they're lastly being tossed aside aswell (bruh) to be creative or funny or to be both every week isn't easy at all the video's kinda sad but before we can press the button to start recording, we need to complete an important step first and that is the planning. we need to, literally, call all of the people that we've ever met in our entire lifes and ask them if they, not only want to

participate as an actor, but also to help out with the locations and most of the time... it's not working out, because the request are very short-term mostly like one day prior to shooting because regular carnival clothing stores don't usually have clothing for themes like, ppap, pokemon go or german lets play, roxy and jimmy often design the clothes and props for our videos themselves the night where it's being filmed throughout the last one and a half years our equitment has grown quite a bit

nonetheless we still have to call and borrow equitment from time to time for example if we need something we don't have or if something broke prior to shooting all of that, plus time to dispose oneself and that all of the contestens are available, that the equitments are on the set on time that the equitment is working and complete it does make for a sleepless night let's go on set

let's go on set tired af to be ready at 10 am, does mean, depending on how far it is of course, we have to be fully prepared at least 2 hours before filming. not only does the camera equitment need to be set up, no we also need to eventually try on the costumes, set the lightning do the sound check, take a closer look at the location and to cover the bags under our eyes from time to time, especially mine.

ah. you can't really see it right now we're filming until late at night, almost every time. and that is, not only for one, but few days in a row, a day of shooting can take up to 30 hours sometimes while projects like the power rangers... take even longer 133... thousand i'd guess

but i'm not too sure about that, since i'm bad at maths and to add to that, there are often unavoidable situations and complications*wow that rhymed* that take hours our time i'll talk more about that later for the most part, the shooting is the most fun because we get to meet a lot of people and we get to try new things and just have fun often the postproduction already starts during the shooting

because i'm already busy editing the videos during breaks or at night even though we're filming again early in the morning. but i think that's the only way to do it first, we save all of the materials, hope none of the scenes are missing, and that no sd card has been destroyed by simon desue because we're having so many different types of working areas, for example sound design, visual effects, editing,

grading and so on... everything is being split up equally, so that everyone can make use of their own strength. afterwards we're busy editing. until the power suddenly turns off, and all the computers shut down, while you were about to click 'save', and now you have to do it all over again meanwhile, marius is still searching for the same mistake after the third try, all the while constantly speaking to himself, humming along to some david guetta tune

from 1995 then jimmy notices we haven't filmed enough 'bento brothers' again and vince swearingly has to do half the videos voiceover, because the sound wasn't clear enough because of distracting sounds in the background. if, he doesn't need to suddenly go to trier again because his wife's getting a baby sounds like a lot of fun what follows are

definitely a lot of sleepless nights. if you wouldn't split up all the work with other people, you'd probably work on this for like 80 to 100 hours guys, we ain't done yet before we can upload the video, we of course, need to check on it together it's called 'screening' during this process, we often come across tiny errors. they might be tiny, but they're still errors after all!

that's definitely one of my kinks. like i'm very perfectionistic when it comes to this sort of thing. there's nothing worse for me, then uploading a video full of mistakes which saddly happened again just recently for the second 'screening' we use the new version and that process continuous, until we can't find a single flaw anymore sometimes when we're tired, we might do this 5 to 6 times even if it's not necessary

and then, when everything is finally ready, you're taking a look outside, the sunlight shining on your face, the birds wishing you a good morning you suddenly come to realise, i still don't have a thumbnail -.- and because our brains have already switched to power save mode this procedure, of course, takes up to 2 hours aswell *sigh* it's coming guys you've already heard about it. or maybe not.

but i do think so. the secret to my success... is the title what i mean is the title 'the secret to my success' i know it's not even funny going on. after the title and the description are finally finished aswell, which took like what feels like an hour to make, and you're walking home contemplating on questions like , 'why are bananas curved?'

'why is herr newstime always faster than mr trashpack?' 'what is the meaning of life?' only seeing things in a blur because you're so damn tired, you finally get to fall into your bed. and now, just imagine you'd have to do that every week not to forget the endless amounts of dates, events, campaigns and co-operations like the one with power rangers. even just doing the merch, took months to create and i'm preparing

something pretty big with my brother, which you'll probably hear about soon. and there are two other huge projects, which i can't talk about too much right now, that are also in the making and for almost a whole year now, i've been working on this app with bã¼gelman, called bam attacks which actually came out today. i think it turned out pretty amazing

the app is free, and we've picked out some of you guys to try it out as a beta tester it seemed like a lot of you enjoyed it the link is down in the description, and i'll talk about it later on. back on track, i'm sure you noticed that the amount of hours in the diagram doesn't even make sense anymore, even if you would quit sleeping so you're just like 'that's not even possible!' and the answer to that is 'yeah it's not'

why do i talk so weird? but that's exactly what we're trying to do, to prove to ourselves that we can make the impossible possible and yes, there are so many things that bring us down every day, and yes it's self-destructive constantly having to go out of your comfort zone, and yes youtube is by far the toughest thing i've ever started in my life but yes, it is and will always be our greatest passion

chapter 2: then and now aside from what i've been doing on this channel my videos used to look like this and then like this: nowadays like this: tomorrow like this? nah, i don't know. i've mentioned before, that i personally find it very important to improve yourself as a person this channel is a part of me, and as much as i have changed as a person

so did the channel even my team is a part of that change a team that gives me more opportunities, it's not just about that one camera movement, not just about that one shot, that one cut, that one music note, no, it's about us as humans, as a team, as a community, we're always growing, and that is very important way too often, we just stick to what we're already good at way too rarely, we learn from what we're already good at

often times we rely on our abilities, and our fear of failure, holds us back from growing could i've just continued what i was doing? was the expensive equitment and the lightning a bad investment? would i've been better of without my team? should i've just stopped when the channel wasn't doing so well? i don't know. and why is everything so sad right now? that wasn't my plan

this channel had it's lows aswell, and i often thought about if i'm doing the right thing but that courage is exactly what you need to keep going. that exact ambition is what you need to keep growing. that discipline to crawl out of your cave. a lot of youtubers they just rest on what they've already build and refrain from trying to change, to learn and to grow as a person

everyone deals with doubt from time to time but to keep going, even in doubt and not to give up, has made me who i am today chapter 3: my team i've started out on my own, with music and dance videos which is exactly what i'm doing today just not alone anymore. john and vince not only have been my friends since the dawn of time, but also

those who were with me from the start of my youtube journey we were a little bit of a chaotic trio, fighting about whose turn it is to clean the toilet. it were stressful but also pretty fun times vince became a dad and i got him out of his fulltime job so that he could live his dream of making music and of course, so that he'd have more time for his family and my projects at some point the amount of effort we put in the videos got so big

that i asked rob, who i knew from training if he'd help me out. at this point i had no idea that this 'woodhead' would be of so much help someday thanks for that crisby rob we'd constantly hang out and plan our projects, but we would also do a lota shit but because of that constant longing, to do something much bigger which even rob and me could've never managed on our own, we won

another very important person over, jimmy originally he came to help with the equitment and costumes but soon his talents were discovered, which was much more than just building '0' john on the other hand moved to berlin to take his fate into his own hands jimmy quit studying and moved into johns old room i'm not saying you should quit studying, please the videos didn't just become more professional,

no they also got a lot more attention, so our p.o box were filled on the dialy everything just started to get a little too much, and sleep had become a foreign word a long time ago. because of the success of the channel a lot of producers came to us, who only saw their own benefit, who lied and used me then anika came along, who put all the burdens, that distracted me from making videos aside, with her sense of planning

she luckily became a very important part of our team then came the time, when i threw rob out of the team why? cause he started stealing our sd cards. wait? that was simon desue! rob helped us so much, that he completly neglected his own channel even though it had always been his dream to build his own channel but i'm still very good friend with rob and also with john and we see each other all the time

but our demands kept growing and to be able to turn what we've had in our heads to live, there was this one tiny piece that was still missing marius similiar to jimmy, we had already worked with marius quite a few times before he started to become part of the team, we were all very impressed by his talents and ambition, and soon decided that he would be a

perfect addition to our little team and he was in for it. and since then he's been sitting on his chair, which was actual robs, and has been humming some david guetta tunes from 1995 chapter 4: reflection and the secret to success as a team we somehow always managed to do everything, yet there are often problems and complications that come unexcpected. it can be something as simple

as a screw that's missing, which can postpone a shooting up to 2 hours during the planning, we calculate the incalculable weather in aswell. and spontanious rain can throw us back in a day. we suffer from problems like: having no internet connection, programs shutting down or power cuts because meanwhile we're being in the most stressful times of our lifes. to write song lyrics

where everything is planned perfectly, and having to collect them at 3am, because there's no other way you could keep editing, can get on your nerves. or to create different dance choreographies, while having thousands of other things on your mind, is incredibly exhausting. because we rarely do and rather do not like to settle for one location, as you can see here for example,

we often have to take all our equitment out and in again, run to the next location in the speed of light, and then set everything up and film it all, and that like 5 to 6 times a day in extreme cases. and even when we're sick we're still working. that's the price you pay for weekly content. and then there are these stupid gossip magazines or gossip youtubers who dare to publish information

on where we live or how much money we make, spreading stupid rumors, putting us in boxes aswell. i think it's unnecessary, i am who i am. if i step infront of the camera with a bit of a more serious tone, you will notice it and if i'm in a good mood, you'll see it aswell. we're pulling on this string together, we don't resist to work hard, we go futher than we should, trying to make the impossible possible everytime, just for you.

that is our secret to success. feel free to leave a comment or feedback on the new game. as i said we've worked on this game for almost a year and i'm curious what you think about it you can download the game for free in all stores. or at least the important ones while preparing the game, we actually kinda got addicted to it. guys, you know i'd never

show you something i don't like myself. lastly, i'd like to thank those who made it this far. those who actually liked my emotional speech a little bit a huge thank you to all of you. and don't forget to suscribe, so you don't miss any of my videos. blablabla and i'll see you next week!
